The things I'm good at is decorating cakes, making cookie dough, swimming, and art.
2. How do you feel when you're doing the thing you're good at?
I feel like I can do anything good. I also have fun when I'm doing the things I do best.
3. How would you feel if people wouldn't let you do the thing you're good at?
I would feel disappointed and angry because they are the things I love to do.

1. What problems or conflicts are presented in chapter one? Tao needing to find a rabbit is an obvious one; identify at least two more (not having anything to do with the rabbit!).
2. Predict the resolution of each conflict.
conflict 1:Tao was drawing in the sand and it was a taboo in the tribe.
predicted resolution 1:Tao has to avoid being caught by someone in the tribe.
conflict 2:When he was small the tribe wanted to abandon him and leave him for the hyenas ( so they can eat him ).
predicted resolution 2:Kala saved Tao from being the hyena's appetizer ( that would have ended bad ).

One of the two important events is that Tao goes into a forbidden place to find food. The other event is that happened was that Tao found berries, mushrooms, and other kind of food ( besides meat in the slough ).

Tao and Ram learned to hunt.

Tao told Volt that they should hunt with wolfs.

If I were Volt I would feel that Tao might have a good idea. I also might feel like telling Tao that what if the wolfs betray us and keep-alive attack. I would think that the people from the tribe should vote. I will tell Tao that some wolfs attack people, but others are kind.

An important theme in this novel is that people should follow their dreams and do what they believe is right, even if they don't follow their society's expected ways.
The author examines this theme in a stone age setting. Imagine a similar situation today, where a person's desires go against society's expectations

I think that women should have the wright to do the jobs they want to do. Like if they want to have a job their parents or the government don't want them to do. So, women should live their dream for what they what to have as their job. Like they say don't let anyone tell what job you can have and which ones you can't have. There is no difference ( there just jobs nothing more ).

Why do you think Graybeard changed his mind?
I think Graybeard changed his mind because Tao really wanted to draw so Graybeard decides that he will teach Tao how to draw or maybe he wants to help Tao follow his dream.
What does this tell you about his character?
I can tell that he doesn't like to be harsh or mean and he thinks that wolfs wouldn't hurt people also he wants to help Tao draw better ( because I think he likes Tao as a good friend ).

There was animal blood, animal fat, fish oil, eggs, and honey. The thing that surprised me the most was the animal blood ( I didn't know they used animal blood for paint ).

Tao is afraid at the end of the chapter because Graybeard was coughing loudly and I think Tao is worried about Graybeard ( because he thinks that he might not make his it to the other tribe ).
